Humuya Inn’s Garden

In 2009 we hired a full time (at that time unemployed) farmer to prepare the soil and area for our fist garden. This has been a learning process and although our produce is not 100% organic they are as close as we could get this year. 100% organic is something we learned to be pretty tough, here in Honduras, but we are still working on getting to that point. This year’s gardens produce returns to the hotel where it is served to our guests. The produce that we don’t grow ourselves we buy locally to support Honduran farmers.
