The Humuya Inn’s motto is “your home away from home”, this is phrase encompasses our past as well as our future. The Humuya Inn used to be a house which we transformed into a boutique hotel. As it grew we grew with it, purchasing property that surrounded us.
It all began as a favor to a college friend. He was bring down a sports team and they needed a place to stay. They needed somewhere clean, affordable, and safe; three things that in Honduras are not synonymous. So we decided to offer up our house. Then the idea came to us, why couldn’t we provide what they were looking for and more. From that idea the Humuya Inn was conceived.
For the last 26 years the Humuya Inn has housed over 600 missions teams, been a safe haven and partner in the adoption of over 200 kids and supported the local economy by providing sustainable jobs. We believe in a better future for Honduras and are excited to be able to play a part in it!
